Getting Veneers in 2 Visits
The process is simple, and essentially involves creating a wafer-thin layer of porcelain that is fitted over the problem tooth:
Visit 1)
The first step in the process is to remove any decayed or weak areas of the tooth, and possibly trim the sides to achieve a secure fit with your new veneers. Once completed, an impression of your teeth is made, and the mold is sent out to the lab where the veneers will get created. Your dentist will also color-match the porcelain to ensure it looks exactly like your adjacent teeth.
Lastly, if your teeth have been trimmed to accommodate your future veneers, you may decide to be fitted in our office with a temporary set until your custom set arrives.
Visit 2)
When your veneer or veneers arrive, you'll schedule an appointment to have them cemented to the surface of your teeth. The final result will be an instantly refreshed smile that shaves years off your appearance.
